Therapy for Teenagers

A safe space for young people

Teen therapy is a space where adolescents can freely express their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. During adolescence, many challenges arise related to emotions, relationships, school, or identity – therapy offers a chance to better understand oneself
and one’s needs.

Who It’s For

I work with teenagers aged 12–18 who:

  • experience anxiety, tension, or chronic stress,
  • struggle with low mood, sadness, or frustration,
  • have difficulties in peer or family relationships,
  • are going through an identity crisis or difficult emotions,
  • need support coping with academic pressure, life changes, or conflicts,
  • want to better understand themselves and their reactions.

What the Therapy Process Looks Like

Sessions are conducted online in a friendly and safe space that helps young people feel comfortable.

Therapy is not about judgment or giving ready-made solutions. It’s a shared journey – conversation, reflection, and small experiments that help adolescents understand themselves and their potential. I always tailor the pace of therapy to each teen’s readiness so they feel safe and respected.

I use the Gestalt approach, which helps teens:

  • consciously experience their emotions,
  • understand their reactions and behaviors,
  • identify their needs and boundaries,
  • build healthy relationships with others.

What Teenagers Can Gain from Therapy

Teen therapy supports young people in growing up and developing a healthy relationship with themselves and the world.

Even if you’re unsure what you need, taking the first step and scheduling a session is always worthwhile.

  • better understanding of themselves and their emotions,
  • tools for dealing with stress and difficult situations,
  • improved relationships with peers and family,
  • a sense of agency and control over their lives,
  • development of confidence and self-acceptance,
  • space to explore and understand their identity
